Depart from Iniquity

And I was wondering what’s wrong with having sex and they said, “The body wasn’t made for fornication”

And I was like, “Oh damn, are you saying I can’t have sex?” I don’t know how long I would be able to do this!

I mean I use to think that was part of maturity that was part your manhood, growing up and having sex.

My uncle say it was okay, my daddy say it was okay, even my aunt. One of my aunt’s told me “if you aren’t got none by the time you turn 14, I’m going to take you out and buy you some”

It was an accepted thing!

Yes I’m embarrassed telling you this- whatever!

Fornication, having sex without being married and the scriptures says that the body is not for fornication.

That, body is not for fornication and I thought it was, and everybody I knew thought it was, and everybody I spoke to thought it was, and all the news media thought it was and every talk show thought it was. And my doctors thought it was. But God says it’s not. I’m going to belief God!

1 Corinthians 6:13, “Meats for the belly and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord and the Lord for the body”

1 Corinthians 6: 15, “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid”

A prostitute, a whore! He said, “Should I take a member of Christ and make them a member of a harlot or prostitute?

How do you become a member with a prostitute? By becoming one, if you are a member of the body of Christ and you intercourse with somebody that is not a member of the body of Christ, then you’ve taken Christ’s body and make it a member with a harlot, and when you become a member with a harlot you become a member not just with the harlot but everybody she’s became a member with.

So when you have sex with one person it’s not really one person, you’re having sex with that person and all the people they had sex with. And you make the body of Christ a member of that. He said, “Shall I do that”, he said, “no God forbid”

1 Corinthians 6: 16, “What? Ye not know that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh”

The same thing happens with Christian people. if you are a member of Christ and the person you go to bed with is a member of Christ, then both of you when you have intercourse just had sex with Jesus.

That’s what happens in the church when the brother comes up to the sister and the sister don’t say no and they come together, it’s almost like brothers and sisters in the natural home- incest!

1 Corinthians 6:16-20, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body, but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body.

“What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and your spirit, which are God’s”

How do you honor God? By staying away from fornication, I will honor God with my body by not having sex before marriage.

Water is a physiological need, food is a necessary need to sustain life, sex is not.

I remember a girl which came up here on the altar when we were having a meeting, she said she was high and needed sex all the time. I said, “That’s the devil” I sat her down and said she don’t need hands laid on her, she want hands laid on her.

Someone now asks, what should I do, what are my options? Read 1 Corinthians 7:1 “Now concerning the things, whereof ye wrote unto me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman.”

Amplified version- “NOW AS to the matters of which you wrote to me. It is well (and by that I mean advantageous, expedient, profitable, and wholesome) for a man not a woman (to cohabit with her) but to remain unmarried. 1 Corinthians 7:1
