Mr Marcaroni, real name Debo Adebayo born May 3, 1993, is a Nigerian comedian,
actor, and activist. He is best known for his Instagram comedy videos, where
he plays the role of a sugar daddy.
Adebayo was born in Lagos. He hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. He graduated from Redeemer's University Nigeria in 2018 where he studied theater arts and film studies.
Adebayo started as an actor in Nollywood before creating comedy videos. In his interview with Punch Nigeria, he said that he has been an actor for a long time by doing movies and soap operas. He said movie roles were no longer coming at some point and he took a while before he decided to start online comedy.
Mr Macaroni's comedy talks about events and real issues in Africa. He always play the role of a sugar daddy. In an interview with Nigerian Tribune, he said he chose the role of a sugar daddy because it represents a good percentage of naughty men who can not control themselves. He has featured many Nigerian stars and celebrities in his comedy videos, including Peter Okoye, Femi Adebayo, and Ogogo.
Mr Macaroni, in an interview with Punch Nigeria, said he had flair for comedy when he would mimic Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and everyone would laugh.
Adebayo has been active in the End SARS movement. On Saturday, February 13, 2021, police arrested Debo at Lekki Toll Gate during the on-going #OccupyLekkiTollgate protest.
