How To Fix Your Worn Out Leather Sofa By Yourself

Leather sofas can begin to look quite sad after years of use as the cracks quite literally start to appear.

One mum's hack to breathe life back into hers has been hailed as 'genius' with others taking inspiration from her £20 (N8,800) hack.

A post on the Extreme Budget DIY & Life Hacks Facebook group reads: "So a couple of weeks ago I plucked up the courage to paint my sofa.

"So glad I did it, it’s like a new sofa for under £20. Hidden all scratches from my cat and feels amazing!"

She explains that she thoroughly cleaned the sofa with sugar soap beforehand, let it dry and then applied two thin coats of paint with a small roller and used brush for the awkward areas.

With lots of members of the group keen to try the same trick, the mum revealed the magic product was from Frenchic Furniture Paint's The Lazy Range , with a broad range of colours to choose from.

She said: "Highly recommend and so far so good after sitting on it, no cracks.

"The paint has a wax in it so no need to wax after applying the paint. So easy and looks new again!"
