Hotel owner kidnapped in Minna, abductors demand N50million ransom

A Minna-based hotel manager and Director of Phoenix Hotel Limited, identified as Chief Cletus Ojukwu, was Tuesday, reportedly kidnapped by a gang of six armed men at his home in Suleja, Niger State at about 8p.m.

According to reports, the kidnappers were said to have made an attempt to take the Anambra-born businessman’s wife but for lack of space in their vehicle, they left her behind.

As the story goes, the kidnappers have since reached out to Ojukwu’s family and are demanding a ransom of N50 million for his release.



The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Bala Elkana, who allegedly confirmed the kidnap, said the police were investigating the matter.
