Kogi Varsity Lecturer Murdered by Suspected Kidnappers

A lecturer and an Associate Professor, Dr. Justice Olurotimi Otitolaye, have been reportedly killed by suspected kidnappers in Ejule, Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Before his death, Justice is a lecturer at the Department of Agric Economics & Extension at the Kogi State University. 

He was popularly called "OTIS" by his students. 
According to some student's who are asking police to investigate his murder, Dr. Otitolaiye was on Friday Nov. 21st was on his way to eat at a restaurant near Stadium Road in Ayingba, when some armed men double-crossed his vehicle at gun point, put him inside their vehicle and drove away.

His body was found the next day Saturday Nov. 22nd at Ejule village in Ofu LGA of Kogi State with bullet wounds. The police have started investigating the incident.

Otitolaye was the former Pre- Degree Director and a Lecturer in Faculty of Agriculture, the Department of Agric Economics & Extension.
 
Otis was a jovial man, highly respected in the university community where he lectured before he was murdered and was  greatly loved by his students. 



The late lecturer who also owns a traditional chieftaincy title is survived by his pregnant wife and children.
