The Kogi central senatorial aspirant under the platform of All Progressive Congress, Alhaji Bashir Sani has voiced out over the moves of some power forces to hijack the structure of the party.

In a statement made by Alhaji Bashir Sani on his facebook wall today titled “Can we be fooled again’, he decried the activities of some money bags in Kogi central who he said are making every moves to shut the door against the emergence of new breed of politicians.

Alhaji Bashir Sani described their moves as counterproductive and one which would spell doom for the party if urgent steps are not taken to resolve the problem in a bid to give every Aspirant a level playing ground.

He said: “The same old brigades of gangsters that led Ebiras into near moral bankruptcy are at it again. If they don’t get their way, they may and they will resolve to old reliable tactics, the use of “force and deployments of thugs”. They are vestiges of our history that only our active participation can heal that must not be allowed by good people to happen again. Be wise and be smart’.

Our search indicated that Senator Muhammed Ohiare, one time gubernatorial candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria in Kogi state and Senator Salihu Ohize were those party bigwigs in All Progressive Congress in Kogi central senatorial district of the state.

Eagle reporters learnt that these two former PDP senators who decamped to APC have been given Alhaji Bashir Sani sleepless night because of their wealth and experience, and owing to the fact that they are ready to disburse their fund to party faithful to secure the ticket of the party.

Our correspondent gathered that early this year, Alhaji Bashir Sani had complained over similar problem in the party. He had once condemned the move of the party to make these former senators the party leaders in Kogi central where observers noted such are always given to people who have held highest political positions in any area.
