The Kano state government has broken the jinx of sponsoring of about 5,400 pupils of primary schools in the state to participate in the on going Federal common entrance examinations aimed at driving education forward.

Until recently, the Kano State pupils had only been exposed to the general state Common Entrance examinations that only make them gain admission to secondary schools in the state.

With the coming of the present Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR, he felt there was the need to expose the Kano primary pupils to the Federal Common Entrance Examinations.

It would be recalled that Education Committee was constituted to reform education across the 44 LGA of the state in January this year.

This is the first time the state government is sponsoring such number of pupils to participate in the Entrance Examinations.

This is yet another mark made by governor Ganduje in the advancement of the basic education in the state.
