Abuja Hotel Raid Leads to the Arrest of Six Notorious Kidnappers

Six individuals, believed to be part of a kidnapping syndicate responsible for the recent abduction of Joshua Eze in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have been apprehended in a hotel located in Bassa Village within the capital city.

The apprehended suspects include Buhari Muhammad (20 years old), a wanted kidnap kingpin, Muhammad Sabiu (20 years old), Isah Abdullahi, Hamzat Musa (21 years old), Fatima Abdullahi (22 years old), and Zuliat Yusuf (23 years old). They were arrested by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the FCT Police Command.

As per a statement released on Monday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the authorities seized one AK47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, a cash sum of three hundred and forty-five thousand naira, and various other valuables from the suspects.

The statement revealed that the arrested individuals have admitted to their involvement in the crime and other kidnapping incidents in the Territory.

The Police spokesperson also verified that members of this notorious syndicate were responsible for the kidnapping of Joshua Eze, the husband of Blessing Eze, who sustained a bullet injury during the abduction on January 27. She was subsequently rescued unharmed by police operatives of the Command on January 28.

While the investigation is ongoing, Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth Igweh, assured the public of his dedication to eliminating criminal activities in all its forms within the FCT.
