His Political Ideals…

Charles believes in politics without bitterness, politics without godfathers or political businessmen and women. He believes that political godfathers have misled several politicians who in turn killed their constituencies, their individual dreams, the state and eventually the country.

He believes in clean politics, not the dirty do or die politics known with politicians. Not just be wearing white fabrics, while the wearers have very dirty hearts and souls.

He believes in the benefits of good governance and legislature to all the people of Nigeria, his constituency and even the underprivileged people.

Charles sees a Nigeria in the nearest future where people with brain and intellects will take over positions and revive the nation’s security, economy and integrity.

He believes in accountability, service to the people, and integrity.

According to him;

In Nigeria it is a common thing that once you signify your interest for a political office, everyone wants to know who your political ‘godfather’ is, if he is one ‘big senator or big leader or political party leader’.

That means we have restricted those who can vie for political offices to those who have connections to the same old money bags who have looted and turned the nation’s common wealth for their personal gains.

This is why we have not got the real change, until we change the old ways of doing things we may never get the real change we all desire and deserve for this great nation- Nigeria!

I started living in my ward- constituency, since 2005 when I moved into Lagos. That is 13 years ago now. Things have remained the same way they were since when I moved here. No new roads, dirt have continuously littered our roads and more youths have taken to the streets, abusing drugs and engaging in internet fraud, popularly called ‘yahoo-yahoo’.

In my 13 year living in Ikeja constituency I have had the opportunity to study and see the problems people face here daily, and mostly these problems are not local in nature, yes, they are there in the localities but the solutions comes from decisions made at high authorities where contracts for roads, buildings of schools, and health centers are made.

To the best of my knowledge those in the helms of affairs, representing the peoples of the localities are either living in high class areas in Lagos Islands or ABUJA where they can hardly feel the impact of what these people they represent. The best they do is to come during campaigns, share money to a few and buy political thugs to help them win elections, leaving the basic needs of people, roads, education, health and welfare.

As long as these people remain in power, regardless of whatever form of disguise they come in like change of name, they are still the same and we will never have the real change we have always craved for.

I have lived in this neighborhood for 13 years, married here and raised my kids here. I work here, and have raised many youths who look up to me as their mentor.

I have the understanding that our cherished rights of liberation and equality depends largely on our active participation in politics. It is with these ideas in mind that I have decided to make myself available for the forward movement of this great nation.

I want to serve this country by joining politics in the nearest future, because without being in politics we cannot make any relevant contributions to this country.

One major crime killing our youths is lack of employment which have made most of them to join the popular fraud ring- ‘yahoo-yahoo’ and others engaging in illicit drug use.

I want us together to run this great battle. We want a society where there will be good local roads, at least.

With my experience in banking, media, pastor and entrepreneurship, every day I help people raise their horizon by motivating them positively and inspiring them towards a better future. I support my family at home; I inspire my kids to be the best of who they are. My kids know they are deeply loved, my spouse feels appreciated everyday- I know her strength and I see the best in her. I am eager to live out the future we’ve designed together.

I want to change the way political office is run and be a leader for the change agenda… nothing in this world is permanent- only change is permanent.

His Religious View

I believe in one God… I believe Jesus is the son of God and I believe in the teachings of the Holy Spirit.

I however believe that people should be allowed to express their religious views. Nigeria constitution permits for free expressions of religious views, meaning that anyone can practice any religion they want without disturbing the other person or imposing their views on the other.

His hobbies includes; road walking, weightlifting, playing Toon Blast, Scrabble, Networking and writing. His best food is White Rice & Beans, with vegetable stew, fried fish and turkey.
