Some people refer to him as socialite. Though there is not much that is known about him except that he owns a club in Lagos. He became famous when he started moving
around Lagos with ‘chained girls', which sparked a lot of public criticism, making the Lagos police command to react, telling him to stop moving about with chained girls.
Shortly after the incident with chained girls and Lagos police, Pretty Mike in a post likened Toke Makinwa to a snake, this also received large public debate. Possibly these episodes made some people to see him as a Lagos socialites, including his club business and his flamboyant lifestyle.

Recently, a female writer accused him of raping her when she was 16 and
Pretty Mike replied, ‘she’s only seeking attention’, an answer not far
from what Nigerians expected of him.
