Big Sheff

Everyone says he looks like famous American rapper Rick Ross. He also thinks he does, as a refers to himself as "Young Ross"

Big Sheff, whose real names are Sheriff Ilori, is the son of two of Nigeria’s music legends, ‘Queen Salawa Abeni’ and Sir Kollington Ayinla.

The large sized rapper, who is currently signed on to Candiva Signature, has been making waves recently in the Nigerian music industry.

Often referred to as Nigeria Rick Ross by many because of the striking resemblance he shares with the American rapper in all areas, Big Sheff kicked off his music career around three to four years ago and already has a number of singles on air inlcuding ‘Ema lo binu’ and ‘In a minute’.

The Rick Ross look-alike, fondly called ‘Young Ross’ was featured in the musical video, ‘Hold me back’ which Rick Ross shot in Nigeria during his September 2012 visit.

Regardless of his size, Sheriff Ilori has said he’s comfortable and confidence with his big stature. In a chat with The Punch, the rapper Big Sheff said that he loves his weight, size and looks saying there’s nothing embarrassing about his size.

In his words, “I am very comfortable in my skin and I often tell people that if you are a slim person, you should not expect to see someone with six packs when you look into the mirror.”

Continuing, he said, ‘If you are a big person, don’t go to the front of the mirror expecting to see a slim person. If you see that I am a big person when I have my clothes on, then you should expect to see a big person when I take my clothes off. There is nothing to be shy and embarrassed about. If you are comfortable with your looks, then nobody can use it against you. But if you are not comfortable in your skin; that is when there would be an issue.’
