Students of the Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Edo demonstrated violently earlier today. According to reports, the students protest started when three students were allegedly shot dead by security officers. They were earlier protesting against the management for denying them access to write their exams over non-payment of school fees. In the process of the protest, three of them were shot while some were badly injured.

Others students went on rampage - destroying school properties, setting burn fires and setting cars ablaze. The school gates were and roads were reportedly blocked by the rioting students while police reportedly y invaded the school premises, according to reports, spraying tear gas in the air to disperse the rioting students.

The situation is said to have gotten out of hand, while some concerned students have appealed to government to quickly intervene and caution Security Operatives present at the scene of the riot, to prevent further loss of life.
