Kogi Polytechnic Students Burn Down Dangote Trucks Over Death of Colleague

A student of kogi polytechnic was killed by Okada man in Lokoja Kogi state on Tuesday, 15th March when she engaged in an argument with the motorcyclist.

According to witnesses, trouble started when the Okada man asked the lady pay 50 naira and she said she could only pay 40 naira. The Okada man, out of anger, reportedly stabbed the lady with a knife and that lead to her death.

After the incident, enraged students of the Polytechnic took action to protest the death of the lady by blocking the road to fight with other hausa people in lokoja since the Okada man is hausa by tribe.

In the heat of the rampage, the students were reported to have allegedly burnt down a Dangote truck with Cements in it at the gate of the Polytechnic

 

All the student have been asked by the School Management to go home until further notice.
