Videos: Mobs Arrest Phone Thief in Ogba, Lagos
The incident happened around 11 am, Tuesday.
Luck ran out of him this morning while he snatched
phone from a passenger in a keke marwa. After snatching the phone the phone was
passed to his partners in crime who ran away while he was caught at the front
of Tasty Fried Chicken by the angry mobs who went after them, the two others
escaped.
According to an eye-witness, the suspected phone
snatcher usually operated inside tricycles around Ogba-Aguda area.
While he was being mobbed, a woman, who sells around
Ogba said the suspect had duped her of her twenty five thousand naira some
weeks ago and she had been in the search for him until this morning.
In the video the suspect is seen pleading for mercy
and also claiming be a money-doubler and not a thief.
He is said to operate in Marwa around Ogba, Aguda, Tasty
Fried Chicken. People are warned to be curious of passengers they enter inside
Marwa with.
The suspect has been taken to the Area G Police
Command, Ogba.
