Graphic Photos: Police Van Chase Okada Rider & Passengers to Death
An Okada rider and two male passengers were crushed to death yesterday afternoon at Awoyaya bus-stop along the Lekki-Epe Express way in Lagos
as they were being chased by a police van.
Reports says that the three men, which includes the Okada rider and two other passengers were crushed to death while trying to escape from the police.
The police van reportedly chased the bike in order to seize
it from the rider as it was being ridden on the expressway as against the Lagos Traffic Law. The Okada which was on an uncontrollably high speed, collided with a BRT bus. Both passengers and the rider were instantly crushed to death.
According to an eye-witness, area boys took over the street and burned down the police van. It took the intervention of the army to bring back calm and normalcy to the area.
