Ex- Governor General Adeyinka Adebayo Is Dead
Former governor of the now defunct Western State of Nigeria, 1966–1971,
Robert Adeyinka Adebayo, is dead. Adeyinka was born in 1928. He was
educated at All Saints School, Iyin-Ekiti, and later attended Eko Boys
High School and Christ’s School Ado Ekiti.
The late Adebayo became governor after Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi’s death in the 1966 coup d’état.
