Female Olympics Runner Dives Across Finish Line to Wins Gold Medal (Photos)

Bahamas sprinter Shaunae Miller shocked the world last night when she pulled off one of the wildest finishes of Rio 2016.
Shaunae Miller finished first in the women's 400m by diving across the
finish line to deny USA's Allyson Felix her fifth gold medal.
Miller had started strong and led most of the race only to slip in her final few metres. Everyone believed Allyson Felix had the gold medal wrapped up,
until Bahamas’ Shaunae Miller dove into the finish line to shock the
American.
She dove in the last second and slid across the finish line, her torso
fully crossing the finish line before Felix and leaving the American
sprinter to the silver medal.
'I've never done it before,' Miller said of her dive. 'I have some cuts and bruises, a few burns… it hurts.
'When I was on the ground I didn't know I'd won,' the gold medalist added. 'I still don't know how it happened.
'What was in my mind was I had to get a gold medal. The next thing I was on the ground. It's an amazing feeling.'
The 22-year-old Miller finished with a time of 49.44 seconds while
Felix, a four-time Olympic gold medallist, took home the silver with a
final time of 49.51 seconds. Jamaica's Sherica Jackson got the bronze in
49.85 seconds.
