Graphic Photo: 9 Killed At Eid- el- Fitr Party In Ghana

Nine people have been confirmed dead in a stampede during the Eid- el-Fitr celebration at the Asawase Community Center in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, of Ghana yesterday.

Six of the dead are said to be females and three males.

Those injured are receiving treatment at the Manhyia hospital with one person in critical condition.

It is not clear what caused the stampede but people who witnessed it say, a fight broke out and those inside the Center were in a hurry to get out.
