“I Go Dye” is my name, a lot of people get it wrong, they think “I Go Dye” is D.I.E but that is wrong, the Dye is D.Y.E. That means I’m out to dye, to brighten the state of the heart, so through my comedy I believe I’m adding Fun to Life, each time I moved on the street, I realize there are different people with different problems just like every Hausa man with his own kettle and the people I see every day in the street are my role model, because it’s what they actually do that I act on stage through my ways of comedy, what they are talking about is what I act on stage.
The world itself is like a movie scene, you are the producer, the director, the actor and the actress. You can take any role you want to, so if you allow laziness to be your friend then you will be set up by suffering.
I try to have fun no matter the pains I’m passing through because the greatest problem is solution not blaming people. The world is tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think.
Even though the I Go Dye had in many of his stand shows joked about the former president, Obasanjo, he has this to say about him, "I felt very special on Saturday. I have performed across the world and before many leaders but the Abuja event, with Obasanjo in the audience while I was throwing jokes about him and the way he took them made me respect him even further. He is a true father and I cherish every moment spent on that stage."
I go dye have traveled over 20 cities in Europe and over 10 countries in Europe.
His real name is Francis Agoda, one of Nigeria's successful comedians with a seemingly boundless trove of jokes, I Go Dye, has been a constant fixture since 2000 at the annual comedy show, Night of A Thousand Laughs.
