Police in Kubwa have arrested a 38-year-old security guard attached to a church for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl in Phase 2, Site 2, Kubwa, a satellite town of the FCT.
The suspect, a security guard, in one of the churches in the area, was said to have had carnal knowledge of the girl over a year before he was arrested.
According to City News, the suspect waited for the victim, a primary four pupil, at the back of her school and abducted her to a location where he engaged her in the act.
The source said trouble ensued when the girl did not come home after school till the following day.
“The parent became worried and visited the pastor of the church in whose house the suspect works,” the source added.
City News, however, learnt that the pastor informed the police who arrested the suspect, while the victim was taken to the Kubwa General Hospital where it was confirmed that she was defiled.
